Flashback Friday

Flashback Friday is a weekly meme which I, Megan here at Passionate Encounters has created since I just love the romance's of years gone by.  The point of this meme;

  • To highlight a book that was mainly published in the 20th century a.k.a 1980's and 1990's.  A few books could be highlighted that were published after.
  • To get new readers to discover these classics.
  • To let everyone know that these authors are still kicking and churning out bestsellers.

Title: Velvet Angel

Author: Jude Deveraux

Publication: Pocket Books

Release Date: January 1st, 1991

Series: Montgomery Bk 5

She came to him as a precious gift, a naked angel rolled in a rug. Once he gazed into her green eyes, saw her tangle of honey blonde hair, he was undone with passion.Elizabeth would never surrender. He was a hated Montgomery — she was a Chatworth — and the blood war between their families raged on, a wildfire of rape, murder, and betrayal.
Elizabeth vowed to fight the handsome lord, to resist the burning desire in his eyes — no matter how great the temptation.

It's true that I can't remember much about this book, but as soon as I read the blurb for this post on Jude Deveraux's website, most of it came flooding back.  I definitively remember the heroine rolled up in a rug hand delivered to the hero.  Who could forget that!?  I remember the passion between them, the feuding between their families and each other.
                   As long as I live I will never forget Jude Deveraux and her writing, I have no idea how she does it or where it comes from but I have missed her since she has been away and I for one am so glad she's back doing what she loves.
