A witch’s work is never done, and in bestselling author H. P. Mallory’s mesmerizing new novel, Jolie Wilkins finds that the real magic is only just beginning.

For smart and sexy witch Jolie Wilkins, being Queen of the Underworld is a royal pain. Back from a round of time travel, Jolie must now protect her realm from the sinister Lurkers—a powerful breed of half-humans bent on conquering the undead. And if there’s one thing she knows, it’s that the supernatural never go down without a fight.

At least Jolie has her soul mate (and finally official boyfriend), warlock Rand Balfour, by her side. Honorable, brave, and unbelievably handsome, Rand is everything Jolie wants in a man. So why can’t she forget the dangerously alluring vampire, Sinjin Sinclair? With her private life heating up and a battle boiling over, Jolie sets out to prove that in matters of love and war, the fairer hex has its own set of charms.

I was so happy to receive Something Witchy This Way Comes from Edelweiss, I delved right into it.  At first I was kind of bored by it since the first couple of pages were all about the conflict between Rand, Sinclair, and Jolie…  Come on! We’ve been over and over this whole jealousy issue.

But Holy Shit!!

Did it get good towards the middle!  And the ending was something I never expected, actually to tell you the truth, the whole blasted book wasn’t what I was expecting as the last one in this series.  Of course it was a most satisfying last book; probably the best last book I think I have read in a while, Mallory left you with a smile and a satisfied sigh at the last page, but also she left it open to continue on into Jolie’s journey of being Queen of the Underworld.

I really want to tell you what happened, you know...explain why I loved it so much.  But I want you guys as readers to be just as surprised as I was.  I can tell you this much, Jolie delves further into the Lurkers and comes away with surprising results, and the Rand/Sinclair situation is laid to rest…kind of.

The only aspect I wanted to read more on was Christa and her new man who is also a werewolf.  Uhh, yeah.  I said werewolf.  I don’t think I ever remember reading anything in The Witch is Back about a werewolf that was into Jolie’s best friend.  Mallory just kind of plopped that in, not even devoting a whole page to that scenario.  So yeah I was kind of disappointed in that regard.  But not for long.  There was definitely way too much other stuff going on to worry about human Christa for long.

In other words, this last book left me feeling complete and happy about this whole Jolie Wilkins series that I spent the better part of a month reading.  I just hope you guys are as surprised about what I found out as I was.  Enjoy!!
