In S.E.C.R.E.T there are…
No judgments. No limits. No shame.

Cassie Robichaud’s life has been filled with regret and loneliness since the death of her husband. She waits tables at the rundown Café Rose in New Orleans, and every night she heads home to her solitary one-bedroom apartment. But when she discovers a notebook left behind by a mysterious woman at the café, Cassie’s world is forever changed. The notebook’s stunningly explicit confessions shock and fascinate Cassie, and eventually lead her to S∙E∙C∙R∙E∙T, an underground society dedicated to helping women realize their wildest, most intimate sexual fantasies. Cassie soon immerses herself in an electrifying journey through a series of ten rapturous fantasies with gorgeous men who awaken and satisfy her like never before. As she is set free from her inhibitions, she discovers a new confidence that transforms her, giving her the courage to live passionately. Equal parts enticing, liberating and emotionally powerful, S∙E∙C∙R∙E∙T is a world where fantasy becomes reality.

In S E C R E T, we meet waitress Cassie Robichaud, a recent widow who has a thing for her boss but doesn’t want to complicate things since well..he’s her boss.  And there’s also the problem of his bitchy girlfriend.

One day, Cassie finds a diary type journal that is purposefully left behind by a customer.  Curiosity getting the best of human nature, she decides to read a few pages, and what she reads intrigues her so much that when she is approached by a beautiful woman declaring that she can make those written down fantasies happen for Cassie, she is nervous at first but slowly finds her way into the sexual program called S E C R E T.

The program is all about finding your inner sexual tigress and about building your confidence, which is a theme I’m finding a lot in recent romance stories.  Eventually Cassie’s boss Will and his bitchy girlfriend break up and Cassie makes a play for Will, they have one fantastic night together before Will's ex girlfriend shows up with a bombshell.

                The story ends there.

                I was so mad.

I have to admit I really liked the story and was really getting into it, when without a how or why the author ends the book right in the middle of a scene.   A scene! The author doesn’t even give us a hint of whether or not there will be a continuation, which I’m assuming there won’t be otherwise she would have said right?

I was highly disappointed with the ending, and this is why I am giving this book the rating I am.
