Vampire Kings Trilogy Bk 2

Brie and Samuel travel to the human town of Freemont and learn that Brie is being hunted. Brie is more than a domina. But what is she? And why is she being hunted as if she is the solution to a puzzle that the Quiet King has never been able to solve?

Samuel and Brie are forced to align with another, one that holds many answers and incites even more questions. Their journey drags them back to Capitol City and among the night life where sex and secrets mingle together within the light of the two moons. All this time Brie thought she’d escaped and gotten away free from vampires. But can she run away anymore or was she captured the whole time?

I was ecstatic when I received an ARC of Captured by Kenya Wright, having been one of the first to read Escape-bk 1 in the Vampire Kings trilogy-I was on the edge of my seat to read bk 2.  I don’t know how Kenya Wright does it, this is the first books I’ve read of hers and I am floored by how right this series is for me although it could be a bit longer for my taste.

Samuel, Brie, and Ian are back in book 2 of the Vampire King Trilogy.  Captured brings us back to Brie’s escape from the Blind King and his dominion, and with Samuel’s help escape has never seemed more enjoyable.

Without giving too much away, I was engrossed from page one when both Brie and Samuel rescue Leeta, the maid who raised Samuel from an infant when the Blind King, Nai (his father) put him to death to the middle where we start to see all those wonderful drawings that Kenya included within the pages of the story, not to mention all that oozing sexual compatibility between Brie and Samuel; to the heart wrenching end when blood ties between friends are broken and Brie is on the brink of…  Well, I’ll let you read for yourself.
I can’t wait for Freed, bk 3 but at the same time I really don’t want bk 3 to be the end of this sexual intensity between two (or three if you count Ian), amazing characters.  All good things must come to an end though right?
