Review: Her Mad Hatter by Marie Hall

Title: Her Mad Hatter
Author: Marie Hall
Publisher: Self
Release Date: July 7th 2012
Kingdom series Bk I

Alice is all grown up. Running the Mad Hatter's Cupcakery and Tea Shoppe is a delicious job, until fate--and a fairy godmother with a weakness for bad boys--throws her a curveball. Now, Alice is the newest resident of Wonderland, where the Mad Hatter fuels her fantasies and thrills her body with his dark touch.

The Mad Hatter may have a voice and a body made for sex, but he takes no lovers. Ever. But a determined fairy godmother has forced Alice into Wonderland--and his arms. Now, as desire and madness converge, the Hatter must decide if he will fight the fairy godmother's mating--or fight for Alice.

Marie Hall has such a big imagination….and I LOVE it!  We’ve heard of fairy tales as themes in romance sure, but Marie Hall takes those themes and somehow embellishes onto these magical tales.

Her Mad Hatter is the story of Alice Hu and the Mad Hatter from the fairy taleAlice Hu owns a cupcakery shop in real life, but has had an ongoing obsession with Alice in Wonderland from a very young age.

When she was just a teenager, she was hospitalized and was on death’s door when she was saved by The Mad Hatter.  Of course no one believed her stories, so she eventually left that fairy tale in the back of her mind.

But she can fantasize right?  And it turns out that The Mad Hatter is a magician with his hands on her body.

All of a sudden, one day a fairy Godmother of the big bad five of fairy tales shows up in her cupcake shop and announces that there is man that is in need of her.

The next thing she knows she is being dragged out of her bedroom by a big white rabbit and thrown down a deep hole.  And the rest, I really can’t give away.  But I can say is that you’ll laugh every now and then, smile at times at the wondrous magic of it all, and sigh over the chemistry between Alice and her Mad Hatter.

I absolutely loved this first book in the kingdom series which is free on Amazon right now BTW.  I can’t wait to read book 2, which is the story of Beauty and the Beast….my favorite.
