Wish List Wednesday

Hello Wish List Wednesday

I absolutely love the Wishlist Wednesday book blog meme that was Dreamed up by Dani of Pen to Paper, but it has been a while since I actually participated.  Wishlist Wednesday's goal is to get a book off our TBR list and bring it to your attention in hopes of getting it off our list that much sooner and also to let our readers get a chance to experience what exactly we as reviewers love.

There's nothing in the world Army Sergeant Vic Carponti loves more than his wife and his country. Smart-mouthed and easy tempered, he takes everything as a joke . . . except his promise to come home to his wife, Nicole, for Christmas. As he prepares to leave for his latest deployment into Iraq, Vic will do everything he can to shield his beautiful, supportive wife from the realities of war . . . and from his own darkest fears.

As a career army wife, Nicole Carponti knows just what to expect from her husband's tour of duty: loneliness, relentless worry, and a seemingly endless countdown until the moment Vic walks through the door again. But when the unthinkable happens, Nicole and Vic's bond is tested like never before and changes everything they believe to be true about the power of love and the simple beauty of being home for the holidays.

Oh my Lord!  I have been waiting for three books for Vic's story, but it seems like forever of course.  I am so happy that it's a Christmas book too.  I am in love with Jessica Scott and her marine stories and the fact that she incorporates her real life into her books.  I have just put this on my list, I have soooooo many other books to be read yesterday!  But it is a certain time of year for holiday magic, and I think Scott will give me a little with I'll be Home for Christmas.

  1. I haven't heard about this book before but it's probably because I don't read the genre. Looks looks a good read though.
Happy reading, hope you get it soon!
